June 2012 – Smooth Stent

Before anxiety meds…

After anxiety meds…

Thank you so much for the prayers, we really felt them today. We think we may have finally landed on a new plan for how to manage Sophie’s repeat surgeries. She was given a little pain medication prior and then a quick nasal spray of anti-anxiety meds. For the first time, she went smoothly into surgery without fighting the staff. Sophie came out only slightly agitated, which was resolved by a bottle. She had great O2 levels and before we left she was walking around. She skipped her normal nap time and she’s been playing, and climbing on furniture at home as if nothing even happened. ¬†Today’s event was miraculously different from our last experience. We are so thankful to God and appreciate everyone’s prayers and encouragement. We are so grateful.

We’ll see what the next few days and weeks bring for her stent. Hopefully, this change will alleviate some pain she was experiencing.
